"Don't blow this, newbie." "I won't," snapped Hoshigaki, staring up at the burly bandit leader. The man had the balls to claim his name was 'King', but Hoshigaki wasn't buying a word of that shit.
"Just gotta take the guy when he comes and you lot'll rush the back, easy."
TThe bandits hunkered down in their places, swords and hooks ready to snatch up an unsuspecting traveller. The signal had come from their lookout that a lone man was strolling towards the wooded path, and that was enough for them to set their ambush
As soon as the man was past the first guys, Hoshigaki struck, flicking out spots of chakra to ripple a bunch of tiny explosions right in front of the guy, close enough to rip and burn his skin on his face and chest. He was afraid to kill the poor guy but more afraid of what 'King' would do if he backed out of the plan, and that had been the order.
Hoshi's firecrackers were the signal to attack and guys jumped from the bushes on both sides of thei'r poor victim, ramming their swords for his chest. Hoshi sat motionless, aware that three others plus the boss stood around him to ensure he didn't try anything during the confusion, King's meaty fingers resting heavily on Hoshi's shoulder to prevent him even moving. Damn that grip was strong but he couldn't help it. Their victim was about to get shishkebabbed anyway. Too late now.

Post by Kohga on Jan 6, 2017 20:38:20 GMT
It wasn’t uncommon to see Kohga walking through the village ruins without adorning his Hokage robes, mainly because the village population wasn't great enough to require it, and also he was not technically acknowledged by the other leaders of the great villages. So today, he decided to take a leisurely stroll through the village with only his tennies, a pair of shorts that cut just above the knee, and a loose fitting tank top. His metal arm would reflect light brilliantly and he walked, shining light onto the massive amount of scar tissue that surrounded the 'mounting point.' It really was a beautiful day, the sun shone gloriously down on the tattered landscape lending its warmth to the earth. Even just the slightlest breeze rolled through to make sure that no one was too hot. It really was a near perfect day for a stroll. In his thoughtless walk, he was brought to the 44th Training ground. Memories would flood his head, memories of pain and fear, but also of strength and hope. It was here that he spent years training far beneath the surface of the earth, and attained a strength most could only dream of. He was brought back to reality by the look of a raggedy man walking through the forest towards him, maybe a beggar looking for a home, or a villager than was displaced after the attacks. In any case, Kohga would give him work and a home if the man were to choose. As the villages strongest he had a reputation to uphold, and wanted that reputation to be one that reflected the villages kindness and perseverance. Just before Kohga would call out to the man, greeting him, several small cracks came seemingly out of nowhere, right in front of the traveling man. Small bits of clothing scattered to the sides of him as he began to clutch his face from the small burns. Four grown men then sprang from the nearby bushes with swords drawn, an obvious attempt to impale the disoriented man. It was too bad for them that Kohga was in attendance. The men's movements were crude, none of them had training of any sort, just a rag tag bunch of thugs most likely being ordered around. If one were to watch Kohga, his hands would simply become a blur before him. Next to the man, he had created a much more dangerous situation, though not for the traveler. Four arms would spring from the earth aiming to grab each assailant by the arm to restrain him, followed immediately by four thick stone spikes whose purpose was to impale the thugs clean through the abdomen. It would not kill them instantly, but death would be unquestionable. Kohga had a serious problem with thugs and bandits. They were groups of weak and brutal cowards, normally controlled by an unscrupulous character from safety. Lately he had made a name for himself by killing them in droves, sweeping them out of the village. In his eyes they were not suitable to even be granted the option of reforming and becoming a useful member of the Village. It was then that Kohga would take it one step further in letting his presence be known. Kohga's rage would bear down on the landscape, seemingly becoming a tangible entity. His brow became furrowed and teeth clenched. It would stalk the forest's creatures within its grasp, reaching out and caressing them, whispering sweet nothings of certain death, for those who could not move would be mercilessly removed from this world. Kohga never gradually confronted bandits, they were sneaky. No, he would use a great deal of force right from the beginning to ensure their demise. Should one be close enough to see Kohga's face, they would see that his eyes were no longer bright and coloful. They would see that his eyes had become a dark grey, an ominous symbol now. He would not stop there, he forced his chakra into the earth below, and in seconds he had 'eyes' everywhere. This was his triple threat to dealing with bandits. His killing intent aimed to stop them in their tracks, and his eyes allowed him to see carbon content in anything other than humans. This meant that hiding in the trees would be useless to them, their bodies would distort the carbon vision behind them giving him a rough idea of the number and size of the enemy. Finally, his jiton detection could accurately pinpoint location of any creature that had a nervous system, further sharpening the image of the damned. In his mind, Kohga could now see every person in the surrounding area, The four soon to be dead, the weary traveler, three more thugs on the ridge above. Accompanied by a large man, and a child. Kohga let out a barely audible scoff, depending on the kids actions he could live. The same could not be said for the remaining members.

Holy shit. Four men dead in seconds, clutching in agony at their impaled stomachs. All four choked on their own blood, coughing and spluttering as they tried desperately to haul themselves free, all in vain.
"Useless," King snarled. "It's you, then, kid. Give that bastard something to think about while I sneak round and take him from behind. Better do it right, or he might kill you before I get the chance to!" With that he shoved Hoshigaki hard in the back, pushing him stumbling out of the bushes and into the path of the murderer in the street.
Hoshi stared up at the taller man, eyes wide for just a moment as he realised he was definitely about to die here. Well to hell with just dying without a fight, he'd do anything he could to distract this bastard for even a moment and buy himself a chance to escape, and failing that maybe he'd at least leave some mark on his killer. Small achievement for the cost of his life but it would be better than being some chump on a plinth gagging on his own blood!
He formed the few handseals he knew as quickly as possible, surging chakra into his hands and then throwing them up in front of Kohga, launching dozens of tiny explosions right into his face, each further and further forward to try to blast into his eyes and through his skull!
Meanwhile, King snuck around behind and formed chakra of his own, tearing a massive sword from a tree's trunk and lunging with it at the stranger's back. He grinned, certain he would cut both the stranger and that annoying kid Gaki right in half. Rid himself of two problems at once, sorted!

Blood covered the floor and spikes as the men writhed in agony, struggling, gasping for air as their vision closed in before death. Normally Kohga would finish them, so they didn't suffer long, but today he still had 5 others to worry about. A near giant, a child, and three lackeys. He kept a close "eye" on their movements. Every breath, twitch, nervous shuffling of their feet, was made aware to Kohga. He wasn't surprised when the largest of men shoved the child into his path. An obviously ploy to distract him. His hunch was proven correct when 'King' began winding around to the side. Tch! Coward. The Hokage decided to indulge the man, but for just one reason. He was curious as to who set off the 'firecracker' jutsu that scarred the now gone traveler. Was it the kid, or the Bandit Leader? Kohga was sure that it was not any of the three remaining members, as they were nearly shaking in their boots. The man and the boy stood apart from one another, one battle hardened and stern, the other fearful yet determined. Kohga watched the boys eyes widen, and realized the thought that ran through his head. No child should ever have that look on their face. This further fueled the anger that Kohga harbored for these pitiful excuses for humans. The boy in front of him began to weave seals, and it was then that Kohga got his answer. It was the boy, he injured the traveler. His teeth ground against one either, squeaking ever so slightly. He knew that it was this man that forced him. Yoake thrust his arms out forward, throwing small balls from his palms. Kohga did not concern himself with them, he needed to rid the world of 'King,' first. The giant touched the tree and ripped a large sword from it, hoping that he had the element of surprise. Unfortunately for him, that element was on Kohga's side. The moment the sword was free from the tree Kohga darted towards him with frightening speed and went to grab the blade with his metal arm to stop it before it gained momentum. Upon grabbing the blade Kohga would throw a savage punch to the ribs of the man. If it landed, broken bones were guaranteed, and the man would most likely smash into the tree several yards behind him. Small explosions were heard as Yoake's jutsu smashed into trees all around. One even managed to get close enough to burn a hole in Kohga's tank top. "Hmph, got a little careless." he would say under his breath. "Tell me, boy, is it by your choice that you run with these men?" He spoke as he wove seals, and when finished all the bushes around him would fall away into dust. Kohga wanted to know the answer, because if he chose this life, he was no better than the rest.

"Nope!" Hoshigaki yelled over his shoulder in answer to the question, already sprinting for his life.
The moment this stranger had turned to take on 'King', and dispatched him so easily, Yoake was out of there like a rat, turning on his heel and sprinting for his life. He was soon out of sight, vanishing through trees and bushes outside of the area where everything had turned to dust. He didn't look back, knowing that his only chance was to escape. Should he have jumped at the man and tried his hardest to force a blast through his skull? Fuck no! Nothing there worth dying for, and if King had been dispatched so easily he both had nothing to be fighting for and nothing to fear by escaping. Assuming the stranger was feeling merciful, which if he wasn't, well, probably nothing to be done about it.
Still not looking back, Hoshi jumped a fallen tree, slid down through a mossy underpass and pressed his palms against the sides as he went down. If anything passed this way now they'd set off his trap and have their feet blasted, but that was all he could do. He didn't expect it to hurt that stranger but it might at least distract him and let Hoshi know he was being pursued.
"Nope, nope, nope, nope," he muttered to himself over and over as he ran, mind terrified but set on escape whatever it took. If he managed to, he'd keep running until night fell or he ran out of energy, whichever came first.

A loud 'Nope!' was heard and the boy turned tail and ran. Well, whether he was a coward or a smart kid for running was irrelevant, he wasn't part of this gang Kohga was going to borrow. "Shit." he whispered, he did need to catch and interrogate the boy. Kohga set the large blade down and then connected the seals from his previous set and around him 4 clones appeared. These clones, however, no man alive could replicate for they were part of his kekkei genkai. Really, they were over kill in terms of capturing a child. Even jonin level ninja had run into trouble dispatching one of these carbon clones. In the next moment the clones seemed to vanish, leaving little but disturbed leaves and dust behind. The clones caught sight of the boy fairly quick, and watched him leap over the tree and into the moss filled underpass. Two followed, while the other two jumped into the sky, aiming to land and the exit and head the boy off. Kohga did not follow them, he had to dispatch and clean up the mess he had made. He walked up to the man named King, his body he would not take. Kohga liked to leave the leaders out as examples. He grabbed the bandit leaders blade and walked over to him. King was not dead, but was not long for this world. Kohga stood above the man and watched him gurgle in his own blood as it foamed out of his mouth. "Pitiful." With that, Kohga Stabbed the man through the chest and into the tree behind him. His body would serve as a message to any who tried to rob and plunder those in his area of influence. The hokage would then walk up to each of the other men and make sure they drew not a single breath more, then seal them away in his morgue. They would be useful to him at a later date. "Damn!" Kohga said out loud, "I forgot about the traveler." Then man was no longer in his sight, and Kohga could not feel his presence. There was nothing he could do about it now. He did lose it a little at the beginning. Kohga turned his attention back to his clones, they should have caught up to the boy, and be on their way back to him shortly. Kohga would have to make him some tea when they get back to the shack, there was no chance that the clones would be gentle.
