In full robes Sugoi cut a rather zen image, for a shinobi. Sitting in the lotus position, he serenely poured tea, an odd calmness about him. Curiously, a second cup was present on the earthen platform he'd erected. Seated on a rocky platform of his own design, the Mizukage appeared to be waiting, the question was for whom. The landscape beguiled this somewhat, the dry, arid earth disturbed by a slight breeze, the ensuing dust not bothering the behemoth too much. Although not within sight, the Kage could feel the surrounding water too well, keen senses augmented by chakra allowing him to feel every minute wave as it crashed on the shore. The island was a small one, situated off the coast of the Land of Tea. Sugoi knew it was irresponsible to be so far from his village, particularly since it was the only one that wasn't decrepit, abandoned, flattened to the ground or whatever the Hell had happened to the others, and there were no doubt a few sick bastards who'd try to complete the tally.
But, even Kages had to get out sometimes, and this was no doubt a worthy pursuit. He'd reached out to a man of particular interest to Current, covert units around the globe, and the innumerable shinobi who wanted to wring his neck. That man was Taleson Uzaki. Once a humble Kage, he'd grown into one of the strongest, most notorious shinobi in recent memory, and was responsible for flattening his own village, among many others. Unsure of what kind of madman would destroy the village they were sworn to protect, and convinced he was one of the many, many egotistical maniacs who had no regard for loyalty, humanity, or anything of the like, Sugoi nonetheless respected his strength, and wanted to see what the man was made of. Perhaps he might even do the shinobi world a favor and kill the man.
And so, he waited.

Sugoi wouldn't have to wait much longer as a the air about one-hundred feet ahead of him began a distort and crackle with electricity. A moment later there would be a flash of black chakra, and a man clad in black would appear there. Taleson Uzaki looked around at the area he had suddenly found himself in, a bored expression on his face. After a few seconds, he would appear to notice Sugoi sitting at the make shift table. Making his way over, Tales continued to survey the area, making note of his surroundings. Stopping directly in front of the table, the former Kazekage would look down at the man. "Are you Sugoi Washi?" he asked in a bored tone.
In truth, Taleson knew exactly who the man was. He hadn't come to this meeting without first gathering as much information on the Mizukage as he could, not that it had been hard. There were lots of tunnels and dungeons within Kirigakure that even the leader of the village didn't know about. If this meeting went well, maybe he'd show the young man, thought he expected that it was likely to end up in someone getting the crap beat out of them.

If one thing could be taken as gospel, it was that Sugoi wasn't green. And, so, when a violent maelstrom of wind and lightning was kicked up, he tensed himself. Devising seven separate ways he could escape, none proved necessary, as it was simply Taleson's entrance. Grandiose, Sugoi thought it a bit tacky, but couldn't really complain, considering his own fighting style more closely resembled a natural disaster than the quick efficiency shinobi were renowned for, and thus grinned wryly. Not bad. He thought to himself. If all went according to plan, however, the afternoon would amount to more than simple tricks. Anyone who wasted that much chakra on an entrance was either an idiot, immensely strong, or some combination of the two. From what he'd gathered about Taleson, Sugoi was fairly certain it was the latter. After all, only a certain kind of moron would attack villages, and only a very strong one would live to tell the tale. Anticipation creeping into the Kage, the earth would shudder slightly with his will, the Water Shadow ready to annihilate his opponent.
But first, tea.
Throwing his arms out to the side, Sugoi's grin would change to one of beaming radiance. "Got it in one. Taleson, I'm assuming. Welcome, welcome, have some tea." Sugoi was many things; huge, jovial and, at times, even brutal, but a bad host was not amongst them. Gesturing to a seat, he waited to see how Taleson responded to it. The tea was obviously a potential trap, although Sugoi was not so poor a sport to lure someone out with an explicit challenge, only to then poison the bastard. Well, he was a shinobi, but he still tried to be decent, when it suited him. Of course, any decent shinobi had some method to detect poisons, great ones could circumvent them, and the smartest would outright refuse. What would Taleson prove to be?

Taleson stared at Sugoi for a moment as he was offered a cup of tea. Without sitting down, Tales would reach down and take the cup of tea he was offered, lifting it slowly as he peered down into it. Swirling the liquid in the cup for a second, the former Kazekage would reach into his pocket and pull out a small bottle. Popping the cap off, he'd start to lift the bottle towards the cup of tea before pausing for a second. Staring boredly at the tea, he'd suddenly turn the cup upside down, emptying if of it's contents, before placing it back on the table and downing the contents of the bottle instead.
Wiping his mouth with his sleeve, Taleson would return the bottle to the pocket of his cloak before turning away from the Mizukage. "I hope you didn't go through all the trouble of contacting me just to offer me a cup of tea, Washi. I've important matters to attend to, and coming here is keeping me from them." At this point, Tales looked back over his shoulder at Sugoi, a serious look on his face. "So unless you have a good reason for me to be here, I will be leaving."

Sugoi couldn't help but grin when Tales poured his tea out. It took balls to decline a Kage, even more to turn one's back. In another situation, he would've been annoyed that negotiations had broken down so quickly; but he hadn't come for niceties. Closing his eyes, a broad grin would cross the Kage's face. "I mean, I'm pretty new on the block, so it makes sense and all..." Sugoi began, anticipation beginning to rise in him. "But you don't know me at all, Uzaki." He finished, and with this, he would begin a set of handseals. Suddenly, a foot from Sugoi's body, a torrent of water would materialize, drawn from the air itself. Moving at phenomenal speed, if Taleson were unable to dodge, the stream, roughly the size of his torso, would tear him to shreds. Of course, by this point, Sugoi was confident Tales would have responded. This wasn't some Genin he was dealing with, and both combatants were far from green. Of course, were Taleson unable to dodge, he would prove to be very, very red, but that was beside the point. If Sugoi had wanted the man dead, he would've made the handseals well before Tales arrived, and simply waited to unleash the Jutsu. But where was the fun in that? Once again, it would've been obvious to Sugoi that he was far from the model shinobi, were he not preoccupied with kicking the ass of the arrogant prat in front of him. Name: Crushing Rapids Rank: B Users: Sugoi Washi A technique which allows the user to, after completing the necessary handseals, create from their own body or condense a powerful jet of water from the moisture in the air around them. This water flies forwards at rapid speeds, having the same quantity as an average river but being incredibly faster, capable of actually tearing opponents apart if they are unable to react.
