Born and raised in Sunagakure, Taleson was a lonely child. Being the only child of two ANBU Black Ops members, he was often left home alone for days, sometimes weeks, while his parents were away. He often used this time to practice basic ninja techniques and read about advanced ninjutsu. By the time he was old enough to join the academy, Tales was already far ahead of his classmates.
Fast forward a few years. Tales's class was graduating. Everyone's parents were congratulating them, taking them out to celebrate and to show off their new genin headbands. Everyone except Tales's parents that is. They'd been called away on another top secret mission and hadn't made it back in time. That night, Tales awoke to the sound of footsteps in his room. The light came on, and to his surprise, his parents stood there with a cake, huge smiles on their faces.
The trio stayed up all night, celebrating and laughing. Tales was especially happy because his parents had told him that they'd spoken to the Kazekage, and that he'd agreed to give them some off time.
However, it was too good to be true. The next night, in the middle of preparing dinner, there was a knock on the door. A messenger had come to tell his parents that a powerfull S-Ranked criminal had been spotted a few miles from the village and they were needed to help capture him. Apologizing to their son, the two shinobi left immediately.
Angered by his family time being cut short, Tales decided to follow his parents on their mission. His plan was to help them capture the criminal, so that they could all return home for dinner. Knowing he could never keep up with two ANBU, Tales instead took to tracking them, following their shallow footsteps in the sand. After an hour or so of doing this, Tales came upon a camp. Hiding behind a boulder, Tales peaked around it to see what was going on. To his horror, Tales found his father standing over his mother, his katana in hand. She begged and pleaded with him, but he simply stared at her, his eyes glazed over as if he were in since sort of daze. Tales watched, eyes wide in fear, body frozen in terror, as his father slit his mother's throat with the blade. He then turned the blade on himself, and drove it through his stomach, not even flinching until it had pierced him through.
Rushing over to his father, Tales caught him as he fell to the ground. He screamed and yelled, demanding to know why. But all his father could manage before his final breath were the words "Beware the Shepherd."
As his father died in his arms, Tales layed him down in the sand and began to run towards the village. However, a sandstorm would soon cause him to lose his way. Unable to see an inch in front of his face, he fell from a cliff, suffering a severe head injury that would put him in a three year coma. He would awaken to find himself in a small wooden cabin owned by a strange old woman. She had been the one to save his life, only to draw her final breath mere minutes after he awoke. He would bury the woman outside her house before returning to the village.
Upon his return, Tales would be surprised by the large amount of changes. After his parent's deaths, the Uzaki clan had apparently fallen into a type of civil war, the higher ups fighting for control over the clan's resources and fortune. Because of this, most of the clan had been killed or forced to leave the village for their own safety, leaving only one other Uzaki living in the village; Katame Uzaki.
Tales was also assigned to a team immediately and his training as a shinobi commenced under the great Nezu Mitori. Under Nezu's guidance, Tales would quickly achieve the rank of Chunin. It wasn't long after that Katame passed the mantle of clan leader onto Tales, telling him that he felt that he would do a better job of rebuilding and leading the clan.
Not long after becoming Chunin, Tales would discover his affinity for Suiton. Knowing that he could not reach his full potential with the water element in the desert, he requested to be allowed to travel to Kirigakure, an allied village, so as to be trained by those who knew the element naturally. Fearing that the young shinobi was not ready, the Kazekage agreed to allow him to go only if he passed a test. He was to fight a man who would later become a good friend, an Iwagakure shinobi known as Jinju Mei. Though Tales would lose their initial encounter, failing the test, Jinju would convince the Kazekage that Taleson was ready for the challenges ahead, thus he would be allowed to travel to Kirigakure, where he would meet the most influential man in his life; Hibiki Ikazuchi, the Dirge of Thunder.
Taleson begged the legendary shinobi to train him, and after many test, Hibiki finally agreed to take the young Uzaki as his apprentice. Tales fought hard to prove his worth to the elder Ikazuchi, later learning Hyouton as a way to impress his master. A year or so passed and Tales followed Hibiki without question. Then one day Tales awoke to a message from Hibiki saying that he had to leave the mist village on personal business, and that he should return home.
Tales left that day for Sunagakure, and though he was confused and upset, he was happy with the progress he had made. He couldn't wait to show the Kazekage what he had learned. However, just as he entered the desert, he was met by a group of Iwagakure shinobi lead by Jinju. Jinju explained to him that Sunagakure had been destroyed by an unknown enemy and was now a ghost town. Jinju then informed Taleson that he was now Tsuchikage, and invited him to join Iwagakure. With no where else to go, Tales agreed.
A year passed, and Tales served Iwagakure diligently. All the while, he and Jinju grew closer as friends. One day, while working the gate, Tales would notice a tired and ragged man coming towards the village. Much to his surprise, it was Katame. He quickly got his brethren fed, and then took him straight to Jinju, where the Tsuchikage extended an invite to him as well.
Together, Tales and Katame completed mission after mission for Iwa, wanting nothing more than to show their gratitude for being welcomed with open arms. It was on a scouting mission to Sunagakure, however, that everything changed. They'd been sent to scout for supplies that Iwa could use in an inevitable war with Kirigakure. Once inside the village, however, they were met by another legendary ninja, Misuragi Kenji. Kenji made Tales an offer he found hard to refuse; become Kazekage, rebuild your village, and help Kirigakure destroy Iwagakure. Tales quickly accepted the offer, with every intention of decieving Kenji and helping Iwa instead.
However, Taleson would soon change his mind as he was whisked away from his bed one night, coming face to face with Hibiki Ikazuchi once more. Hibiki explained his plan to unite the world under the banner of his organization. He then told Tales that he would be tested, and if he lived, he would become part of the group. In the fight that followed, Taleson was shown what true might was. He could not turn down Hibiki's offer, even if it meant betraying his friend. To concrete Taleson into the group further, he was then granted the power to lead his village without fear of being over thrown, the power of the Ichibi.
As soon as he recovered from the sealing ritual, Taleson lead his forces against Iwa, where they were soon joined by Kirigakure and Hibiki. There he watched his old friend Jinju be cut down at the hands of his new ally, Koga Hikari.
Tales would go on to lead Sunagakure under the secret command of Hibiki. The group now controlled three out of the five villages, with every intention of concurring the other two. However, before they could execute their plans, Hibiki vanished without a trace. At the same time, a new threat showed itself. Mirage, an ancient ninja resurrected by dark magic, and his group, known as the Four, soon began their conquest of the world. Falling at Mirage's hand, Taleson expected to be killed. However, he was spared, and using a dark sealing technique, the Four corrupted the Tailed beast within him, turning him into a pawn for their destruction. Taled would then go on a rampage, destroying Iwagakure and Kumogakure before being confronted by Steggo Gunsotsu and Koga within the ruins of Iwa. There, Tales was defeated, and his Jinchuriki seal locked tight so as to keep the corrupted Shukaku at bay. Now, no one knows where Taleson hides, though one thing is for sure; he is training, getting stronger, so that the next time Mirage makes a move, he can inact his revenge, and save the world.
